Dylan turns 4

For Dylan's 4th birthday he wanted to celebrate at Chuck E Cheese. He loved dancing around with his friends. My dad and Karen chased him around for an hour playing games, so I guess you could say he had a great birthday! Thank you all for sharing in this special day with us.

Hard Times

I have been thinking alot about what to say and how I have been feeling since my grandmother passed away. The best way I could write down my feelings is through a layout. So here is my 2nd digi layout.

Aye, Aye Matey!

So for Halloween I volunteered myself to head up the neighborhood Halloween party. It was alot of work, but the kids had a good time. We had 5 hayrides, pizza and dessert. I was amazed how many people showed up. Our neighborhood is growing and it is fun to meet all the new people moving in around us. My girlfriend, Danielle pretty much took over my kiddos for the night because I was manning the pizza and Omar was driving one of the hayrides. I didn't get to see much trick or treating so Danni took a few pics for me. Although it is not Thanksgiving yet, I can't tell you how thankful I am for all my wonderful friends!

Fall Festival

So, this year has been pretty busy for me. I volunteered to head our school Fall Festival. Being a brand new school, we had to start from scratch. I had 2 wonderful friends who I talked into being my co-chairs. You guys are wonderful! I can't forget to mention their husbands Ernie, Dwayne and Brian who I always rope into helping me out. After months of prep and hard work, it is OVER! I have to say all went pretty well and things turned out pretty good. A few lessons learned for next year. A few pics to share of our day. Yes, that is Omar driving the kids around for the hayride and working the fishing booth. He was such an amazing helper throughout all of this!

Camping

To celebrate Rhonda's birthday we went on our first family camping trip. The boys had so much fun fishing, making smores, and hunting for any outdoor creature they could find. We all pitched in for food and it turned out so great. I have to say, Omar did pretty good stocking up on camping gear. I am excited to go again in the spring. Hopefully this time our air mattress will not deflate.

Women Of Faith

WOW! IS the best word to describe this weekend. I was so amazed at the women speaking at this conference. They are such an inspiration to all. Each has their own story that you can relate to. It was a wonderful weekend full of laughter and tears. If you have not checked out Anita Renfroe on YOUTUBE she is awesome! The momism video is funny but the Don't Breathe is even more hilarious. Thank you to all of you who made this girls weekend so much fun! http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=anita%20renfroe&search=Search&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&spell=1

A new family member

GOT YOUR ATTENTION! No we are not having a baby..... Cameron has been wanting a pet. First it was a snake, then a lizard, then a Pac man frog, then a mouse(you know the white ones with red beady eyes) but in the end he decided on a guinea pig. My sister Ronda and her family bought it for his birthday. His name is Scratchy. We will see how long before it turns into an "old toy" and he doesn't play with him anymore.

Cam's 7th Birthday, Finally

After cancelling Cam's party due to our family stomach bug we were finally able to enjoy this day with friends and family. Everyone had a wonderful time playing, swimming, and eating that delicious cake from Lindy's Cakes. If you have never tasted her cakes, you have got to try it. Thank you all for coming and who knows what is in store for next year!

Dylan's First Day

Well this week has been one not to forget. Dylan has had a horrible stomach bug for a week. He missed his first 2 days of school. We had to cancel Cam's birthday party. (which was not easy to convinvce a 7 year old to do)But after everyone was well, Dylan finally made it to his first dau of school. I can't believe he is going to school 3 days a week. I have no earthly idea what I will do with all my "free" time. Maybe it is time I had a little "ME" time. Yeah right! We will see if that happens.

I can't believe how big Cam is getting. He was not scared at all entering his new "BIG" school. The school is beautiful. Brand new, never touched, it is so nice. He is excited about going to school with all his neigborhood friends. He is excited about his new teacher. He is excited about buying lunch. He is excited anout riding the bus. I hope this year is all he ever dreamed of.

10 Year Anniversary in Cabo

To celebrate our 10th anniversary we went on vacation to Cabo San Lucas. Our hotel was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better view of the ocean. It was a very peaceful trip. We did a lot of relaxing in the pool, took long naps, and spent a nice day at the spa. We ate at 2 awesome restaurants. The first was right on the beach. We had sand between our toes as we feasted on steak and lobster. The other was on a cliff overlooking the ocean watching the sunset and listening to the waves crash into the rocks. As I think back to the past 10 years of our marriage, there have been so many wonderful memories, vacations, and moments that I will cherish forever. Thanks for 10 wonderful years! I can't wait to see what's in store for the next 10 years.

Faith's Wedding

I can not believe the time has finally come where my niece, Faith got married! What a beautiful day it was. She looked so happy. I am sad to say that being in the wedding, I was not able to take pictures of the ceremony. Hopefully I will get some soon. Everyone had such a wonderful time. Grandma was even out on the dance floor in her wheelchair. (Another photo I wish I had!) I am so glad to see Faith and Jeff so happy and beginning this new chapter in their life. (Did I mention what a handsome son I have?)

Father's Day

To celebrate Father's Day we took our dad's out to eat. I think we take for granted sometimes how special our DADS are. They have built a wonderful foundation in our lives. They have taught us so much and made us who we are today. Not only on this designated day should we recognize this but every day.We love you DAD!

Today we did a little something different. It was our first family blueberry picking adventure. The boys love blueberries and wanted to eat them as they picked them. The blueberry farmer even showed them how to put down a blanket under the tree and shake it really hard so all the blueberries would fall off the tree. They gathered them up and their bucket began to fill up fast. Cameron loved it! We did manage to get one bucket filled to the top before it started to pour down rain on us. They can't wait to go back again.

What a big boy!

Can you believe that Cameron has already completed his kindergarten year. Whata BIG boy. He had such a wonderful experience at Children of the Woodlands. We were so pleased with his teachers. We couldn't have asked for a better year of learning and fun. He made so many wonderful new friends taht he will never forget. His best friend in class was Noah. He and Noah are so different but played so well together and were always looking out for one another. We really appreciate all the family coming to see this moment. Now we are on to public school.

End of the season

I can't belive our baseball season has come to an end. The Marlins took 2nd place in our division. 1 game from the world series. Cameron took it very hard. It was good to see him so into the game but sad to see how competitive he is at the age of 6. He definately can play baseball! We are very proud of him and how much he loves to be on a team. He is already talking about next season. Thank goodness it has taken his mind off football for a while.
